The Good Ole Days

My friend Bowzer found me on facebook. I stole this picture off his page. That's us with our friends doing a skit at OP Night, our weekly youth group extravaganza. Pictured left to right: Lenny, Gary, me, Bowzer and Mike.

Church Sidewalk

The school isn't the only place with new construction. Our church has taken on the project of replacing the old sidewalk that has been there since the 1930's or before. It was uneven and slanted and dangerous to all but the most sure footed.

Work began on Saturday, March 21. The men removed the old sidewalk with help from a few professionals. They accomplished a lot. Others cooked breakfast, cleaned up, made lunch and cleaned up again. I worked that Saturday at the public library and missed all the fun.

Kids Zone at Dusk

My favorite time at Kids Zone is when it starts getting dark, because that means it's time to go home. :~)

New Roof

School has been exciting since Christmas break. We're getting a new red roof.

Valentine's Day 2009

I bought Owen a Valentine's Day cake from a VoTech Culinary Arts student. Josh told me that the decorators had written "Ginger Loves Owen." Good thing Josh knew that wasn't right and had them change it. Ginger probably loves Owen too, but the cake is from me, Gingie!

Nevada Barr at the Lawton Public Library

Mystery writer and humourous speaker, Nevada Barr, was a guest at the Lawton Public Library on March 5th. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening with lovely decorations, tasty food, an entertaining speaker and great library friends all around.

I have no pictures of Nevada Barr. I brought my camera to the event to take pictures of the newly renovated library meeting rooms for my friend Linda Clevering.

I thought the table setting was beautiful and took pictures of it for my "purple" daughter, silvermari.


The round tables were borrowed from someone. We still have the same old rectangular ones.

Why the weird picture of the floor? So Linda can see the new floor in the meeting rooms.


And last, but not least, the kitchen upgrades.
